You Don’t Need Another Business Strategy—You Need a Nervous System Reset

Let me guess. Your calendar feels like a game of whack-a-mole. Your to-do list is longer than a CVS receipt (..why?) And at least once this week, you fantasized about burning everything down and running off in a van.

Been there. Did that. (Ask me about it sometime.)

But here’s what I want you to know:
YOU are creating the bottleneck.

And I don’t mean that as an insult—I mean it as the most freeing realization in the world. Because once you see it, you can actually do something about it.

Most of the creatives and entrepreneurs I coach aren’t struggling because they lack strategy. They’re struggling because they’re holding too much—without space, support, or a clear system for what matters now.

The Real Problem Isn’t Strategy—It’s Capacity

There’s a myth in the business world that we need better productivity tools, fancier planners, or some new 5-step framework to “fix” our overwhelm.

Nope.
What we need is space.

We need to clear the table. To lay it all out—the ideas, the half-done to-dos, the spiraling worries, the “maybe someday” dreams—and actually look at it with a little breathing room.

Because the truth is, your nervous system is running the show.

If you’ve been operating from a place of hair-on-fire chaos, jumping from fire to fire, reacting more than leading—it’s not your fault. But it is your cue to pause and reset.

How We Shift That Energy

I talk about all of this in depth on this week’s episode of This Rad Life: Unfiltered, where I also share three of the exact tools I teach inside my 1:1 coaching and upcoming Mini Retreat:

1. The Clarity Check-In

A 30-second ritual that helps you slow down, tune in, and figure out what actually needs your attention. (Spoiler: it’s never everything at once.)

2. The Worry-to-What-Now Method

Yeah, the name needs work. But the process? Solid. It turns your anxious spirals into step-by-step action, so you stop spinning and start moving in the right direction.

3. The Decision-Making Matrix

This is the gold. A simple way to filter every idea, offer, or next move through a process that checks for energy, feasibility, timing, and alignment—so you know what to run with and what to lovingly let go of.

Because idea purgatory? That’s where creativity goes to die. And it’s exhausting.

One Client’s Story: From Bottleneck to Breakthrough

Take Melanie, for example. When we first started working together, she described herself as "not totally sure" what she wanted to do next. She was pivoting from a wildly successful wedding photography business, and while she said she lacked clarity—what I saw was something else:

She knew.
She just hadn’t given herself permission to own it yet.

Through our work together—and a whole lot of Decision Matrix magic—we uncovered what she really wanted: to step fully into the self-help and manifestation space.

It was a little “woo,” a little bold, and a lot closer to her truth.

In a matter of months, she:

  • Wrote and self-published a book

  • Launched a podcast (with multiple episodes!)

  • Built and began selling a coaching offer that felt fully aligned

That momentum didn’t come from more strategy. It came from clearing the noise, creating space, and having a trusted container to process her ideas, beliefs, and direction.

TL;DR—You Don’t Need to Do More. You Need to Do Different.

So if your business has been feeling heavier than usual...
If your motivation has dried up, and your brain feels like a junk drawer full of good ideas and questionable batteries...

Take a deep breath.
You’re not bad at business. You’re just overdue for a nervous system reset.
