The Typical Work Week Starts Off Like…
We’re trained to start our weeks in reaction mode. We open our inbox, glance at our never-ending to-do list, and dive into low-impact tasks that keep us busy, but not necessarily productive. We burn through our freshest energy first thing in the week or day on the easiest stuff—answering emails, rescheduling meetings, checking notifications—instead of using that energy to move the needle in our businesses.
Here’s the real problem: nobody taught us how to work with our natural energy rhythms. Not in school. Not in corporate. Not even in most business coaching programs.
So let me give it to you straight:
If you don’t know when your peak energy hours are, you’re leaving so much untapped potential on the table. You don’t need a 17-step morning routine or a $50 leather planner. You need a system that’s fun, flexible, and built for your brain.
That’s why I created my own method. After years of testing productivity tools, time-blocking apps, and all the bullet journaling hacks (ugh), I stripped it all down to what actually works.

► Hour One: The very first hour of your workweek should NOT be spent checking email or playing calendar whack-a-mole. It’s sacred. Use it to plan your week around high-impact tasks, map out your to-dos based on your energy levels, and break big ideas into baby steps.
► Hour Done: The last hour of your workweek is your time to reflect, recalibrate, and celebrate. What worked? What didn’t? What do you want to do differently next week? This is your space to anchor in small wins and actually feel momentum building.
This is how you become the kind of business owner who gets the important stuff done—without working 24/7 or feeling like you’re drowning.
The real secret? Productivity is not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters when you have the most capacity to do it.
That means:
Not starting your week in panic mode
Protecting your best hours for big-picture thinking
Learning how to break down projects into doable steps
Having clear boundaries around your time and energy
And most of all, trusting yourself to actually stick with a system
